Felicia Akerele is currently a PhD student at the University of Michigan, where she uses mixed-methods to answer the question: how can we give people from all backgrounds better chances of succeeding in education and the labor market? She enjoys sitting at the intersection of research and practice and is motivated by the potential for innovation, problem-solving, and impactful change. She aims to make a positive change through research, public speaking, writing, and leadership.
Felicia has partnered with governments, non-profits, and research centers on a national scale. Her outstanding public speaking, leadership, and dedication to disadvantaged communities have earned recognition from NYU (where she earned her master's) and the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.
